Blue Crab

One of the earliest marine life works I created, this piece went to my dad. While the vivid blues of the blue crab are not naturally found along the Pacific Northwest coast, I was drawn to its delicate structure and vibrant coloration. In contrast to the bold reds of the Dungeness crab, this piece focuses on softer detail, layered texture, and the vibrant blues of the species.
