Blue Pacific Seahorse

This was one of the first colored drawings I added to the Pacific Marine Series. I chose a seahorse partly because I had never drawn one before, but also because I loved the range of color it gave me to work with. The warm oranges and yellows against the deep blue let me build a sense of depth and texture through the seahorse’s body in a way that felt very different from the earlier black-and-white pieces. This piece was a fun experiment and an important step toward bringing more color into the collection.
