Pacific Jellyfish

Out of all the marine life pieces I have drawn, this is still my favorite. Some of the works that came later were created mainly to fit the theme of the series, but this one was something I genuinely wanted to draw from the start and thoroughly enjoyed making. I was especially pulled in by the long tentacles, the small pockets of texture and shading, and the rounded bell with all of its little circular details. It gave me so many interesting forms to work through, and the process stayed fun from beginning to end. More than most of the series, this piece still captures exactly what I love about drawing marine life.
