Pacific Whale Family
I created this piece shortly after Tahlequah (J35). After working on such a sad and emotionally heavy subject, I wanted to make something that felt full of life — a whale moving alongside her calf. I loved drawing this piece, and it reflects what I find so captivating about whales: their immense scale, quiet presence, and the sense of connection they carry through the sea.
